Large language models and multimodal generators are converging to create personalized "alternative realities" at scale. This paper introduces Autonomous Alternative Reality Manufacturing Machines (AARMM) as a futures concept for anticipatory governance of AI-mediated information ecosystems. Using horizon scanning and scenario analysis, it identifies three governance pathways—Platformized, Personal, and Regulated—and proposes policy levers for epistemic resilience before socio-technical lock-in occurs.
