Agnieszka Sadecka

Assistant professor

Agnieszka Sadecka is assistant professor and lecturer at the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow in the area of cultural and literary studies. Graduated from the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate programme “Cultural Studies in Literary Interzones” in 2016, receiving her doctoral degree from the University of Tübingen, Germany and the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India. Since obtaining her doctoral degree, she has been involved in the development of international programmes at the Centre for European Studies of the Jagiellonian University, as well as participating in the successful preparation of two Horizon2020 grant applications, “FATIGUE - Delayed Transformational Fatigue in Central and Eastern Europe” (2018-2021), and “POPREBEL - Populist rebellion against modernity in 21st-century Eastern Europe: neo-traditionalism and neofeudalism” (2019-2021). Her research revolves around 20th- and 21st-century Polish culture and literature, post-socialist cultures of Central and Eastern Europe, postcolonial/post-dependency studies, identity, socio-cultural dimensions of populism and nationalism.
